Don’t worry; Our experienced and patient guides will happily facilitate your experience to make you as comfortable as possible. You will also complete a short practice session prior to the main tour. No experience is necessary to take the ATVs. There is an obstacle course that mimics some of the trail conditions that you will go through before you get on the trails.

• A liability waiver must be sign by all participants. For guests under the age of 16 years who will be riding, a parent or guardian is required to sign on their behalf.
• All riders must participate in the orientation session before the tour.
• Covered closed toe shoes Recommended for all tours.
• Guests may get dusty or muddy depending on weather conditions. We recommend that guests wear comfortable clothing that they don’t mind soiling.
• Safety Hemlets & Googles are provided by Freefly ATV Tours and are required for all guests to wear.

• GUIDE DICTATES THE PACE OF THE TOUR. Riders must follow ALL safety protocols.
• This is an eco-adventure. While it is thrilling, safety is our top priority.
• We are fortunate to be granted access to the land we operate on, and to show respect for the animals riding off the pre-existing trails is not permitted and will result in your trip ending early.
• Guides have the right to suspend tours for any guest who is not following safety protocols.

• Riders are responsible for any damage to the ATV.
• Any damage caused will be a $200 or cedi equivalent fee for the complete ATV inspection to determine the extent of any damage.
• All repair costs above $200 or cedi equivalent will be charged to the rider.

ATV tours depart and continue in all conditions. There are multiple microclimates in the Shai Hills Resource Reserve, making it difficult to predict the weather on any given day. Weather changes quickly so it’s best to be prepared for everything! 

Our operations policy allows children 6 years + to ride passenger with an adult during the tour. 

Our tour routes are off road, so guests do not need a drivers license to participate in our tours. 

Guests are allowed to leave their belongings at the launch site while on the tour, however we recommend no valuables be brought with you. 

All of our tours are fully guided and follow a designated tour route. Our guides are very knowledgeable about the area and will enhance your adventure experience.
